December 10-14, 2019  Holiday Shoppe for the Kids

Kids will have the opportunity to do their own holiday shopping for you parents and loved ones. We are going to make the experience both educational, fun and memorable for them. Further info will be sent home in the coming weeks. In the meantime, check out SignUp and see if you can donate/lend any festive items and volunteer.

December 14, 2019  Brunch with Grinch

Brunch with Grinch is happening soon. Please check out the attached flyer for latest news. Your kid(s) will have a chance to have a fund time with the Grinch, activities and other wonderful surprises! They are going to have a blast!!! Volunteers are still needed. EGG CARTONS NEEDED!!! 

Mr. Sweeny would really like some egg cartons for our chicken eggs. Please bring your unused egg cartons to school.


KID FRIENDLY MAGAZINES NEEDED!

If you have any kind of kid friendly magazines, please consider donating to CIJS.

Magazines like: Southern Living, Family Circle, Parenting, Better Homes and Gardens, Nat Geo Kids, Scholastic News, etc.

NO: Fashion or National Geographic magazines


CANCELLED – PUMPKIN PATCH – Due to Inclement Weather the Pumpkins Never Made to Us

One of our first huge fundraiser event will be The Pumpkin Patch. We will need volunteers to help make this a success. The money goes to funding our CIJS Playground.

Friday, October 18th @ 4pm – if you can spare just 30 minutes to help us unload the pumpkins…bring your wagons, carts, etc.

Monday-Friday, October 18, 21-25 & 28-31 @ 4pm-8pm

Saturday-Sunday, October 19-20 & 26-27 @ 8am-8pm


SPIRIT NIGHT @ MEAT N’ FIRE – Monday, October 7th (TBD…5-9pm)

Thank you to all that came out to support CIJS . We hope you enjoyed spending time with your family and friends during CIJS Spirit Night.

Be on the look out for our next restaurant event at Chipotle on 11/5. We will provide definitive time shortly. See you all there!

GRANDPARENTS’ DAY – Friday, September 13th

I bet your kids were excited to bring in one or both grandparents to show them what they do each day at CIJS. As a parent to a 2nd grader, I was also excited for this day. I wish it was me getting the private tour and my son showcasing all the fun and extraordinary activities they do at CIJS. We will just have to wait and see what our parents have to say about that. Lucky them!!!


T-SHIRT ORDERS – They Have Arrived But Wait to Get Confirmation To Pick Up Your Shirt(s)

An email was sent out confirming their arrival so please stop by CIJS when you can to pick up your t-shirts.


MUSIC PROGRAM – Started on Wednesday, August 21st

Don’t forget, Ms. Gibbons, our music teacher, is coordinating an advanced choir for students who are in 3rd-5th grade. Practice will taken placed already and it is after school on early release days (Wednesday) starting August 21st – 3:30-4:430pm. Please contact Ms. Gibbons directly at [email protected].


PTO MEMBERSHIP FORMS & DUES

It is not too late to hand in your PTO Membership forms and dues ($20/per family per year) should you want to partake in the decision making (i.e., allocating the PTO money, what fundraisers to move forward with, etc.).
